The C18th Beverley Arms Hotel is situated close to the medieval town centre of Beverley and inside the ancient gateway. This former coach house retains all its charm through its traditional furnishings and its historic York flagstones.
Founded by St John of Beverley c.700, the present building, dating from 1220, continues to fulfil its function as a place of worship and parish church to some 17,000 people in the town of Beverley, East Yorkshire. Beverley Minster is renowned for the grace of its Gothic design. The Minster has long been a place of pilgrimage for those interested in medieval music because there are more carvings of stone musicians than anywhere in Europe.
